EEB coordinates with member departments to sponsor events during “Recruitment Weekend” in early February when some affiliate departments organize events for prospective MSU students. During Recruitment Weekend, EEB hosts 1) a casual dinner gathering at an EEB faculty member’s house and 2) a wine and cheese party at MSU’s Plant Conservatory. EEB recruitment events are well-attended by current students, postdocs, and faculty and allow prospective students to socialize with EEB members from many departments and stages of their careers. All prospective EEB students at MSU are welcomed and encouraged to attend these events.
